About this position
With the new CSRD regulation in force, we are looking for a Sustainability Assistant Manager / Manager to lead the advisory services related to sustainability.
This role provides the opportunity to join the global Forvis Mazars CSRD and Sustainability taskforces and become the point of reference for sustainability advisory within the firm.
You will have the unique chance to build a sustainability advisory team that will support clients on their sustainability journey, while also working in close collaboration with the assurance teams to ensure compliance with new regulatory standards. As part of our advisory division, you will be a key player in helping clients navigate the complexities of the CSRD and EU Taxonomy regulations.
Your role will involve:
- Leading the advisory services in sustainability, guiding clients on implementing CSRD and EU Taxonomy regulations, and assessing their readiness for compliance.
- Advising clients on integrating sustainability into their strategy, reporting, and risk management processes, focusing on frameworks such as CSRD, ESRS, and EU Taxonomy.
- Providing expert advice to clients across different sectors, helping them enhance their sustainability disclosures and align with emerging regulatory requirements.
- Building and growing relationships with clients, understanding their challenges, and offering tailored sustainability advisory solutions.
- Participating in the global Forvis Mazars taskforces and working groups, representing Luxembourg’s sustainability advisory practice at local and international levels.
- Delivering training sessions and workshops on sustainability regulations and best practices to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Assisting audit teams in the assurance related engagements over CSRD compliance.
- Collaborating closely with the financial audit teams to ensure advisory engagements complement assurance work, creating a holistic approach to sustainability services.
Your profile:
- You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in sustainability, environmental management, engineering, or a related field.
- You have proven experience in providing advisory services on sustainability-related issues, including implementing and assessing controls over sustainability-related processes and reporting.
- You possess an in-depth understanding of EU environmental regulations and extensive experience in ESG and sustainability, particularly regarding carbon emissions, energy management, and climate risk.
- You have a solid grasp of sustainability frameworks and regulations such as CSRD, ESRS, EU Taxonomy, and GRI.
- You demonstrate strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex sustainability concepts into practical, business-oriented solutions.
- You can work autonomously while also building and leading a team of sustainability advisors.
- You have excellent project management skills, including planning, coordination, and delivering advisory services within challenging timeframes.
- You are business-oriented, focusing on providing value-added solutions to clients.
- Fluency in French and English is essential, with German considered an asset.
