About this position
We are seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic Head of Business Development to lead and drive the growth of the Accounting and Outsourcing Services (AOS) division in Luxembourg. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting clients with their accounting and outsourcing needs, maintaining strong client relationships, and driving business development to grow the Company’s portfolio. You will be responsible for leading the sales efforts, ensuring excellent client service to achieve optimal performance and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Growth: Build and maintain a strong business pipeline to sustain and grow the AOS business line, ensuring consistent revenue growth and client acquisition.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Lead the development of proposals for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and drive the conversion of opportunities into successful client engagements.
- Industry Leadership & Representation: Serve as an active ambassador by engaging with professional bodies such as ALFI, ABBL, LPEA, CSSF, and others, building the company’s reputation and presence in the market.
- Client Portfolio Management: Oversee and manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality, timely service delivery, and building long-term relationships based on trust and excellence.
- Collaborative Client Solutions: Work closely with clients to understand their accounting and outsourcing needs, providing tailored solutions that support their business objectives.
- Compliance & Regulatory Expertise: Ensure all projects and services comply with relevant financial regulations, standards, and client expectations, including LuxGAAP/IFRS.
- Cross-department Collaboration: Create synergies between AOS and other departments (Tax, Advisory, External Audit, etc.) to maximize business development opportunities and increase the success rate of client proposals.
- Client Relationship Building: Foster and develop strong, lasting relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring the firm remains their go-to partner for accounting and outsourcing services.
The candidate profile:
- At least 10 years of professional experience, with a proven track record of business development within the financial services industry in Luxembourg.
- An excellent knowledge of accounting and outsourcing / third party administration business.
- An already established network of clients in Luxembourg.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational skills and results focused.
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and persuasive skills.
- Highly proactive, motivated, flexible, and capable of working autonomously.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with both current and prospective clients and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Fluent in English, with proficiency in French and/or German considered a strong asset.
